15 Nov What’s the iWave?
The iWave is an air purifier that you can install in any duct air conditioning system. Whenever air moves over the iWave, the ions it produces decreases the number of allergens, pathogens, particles, smoke, and odors in the air, producing no harmful byproducts and making the air healthier to breathe.
iWave uses needle-point bi-polar ionization to produce equal quantities of positive and negative ions, and then makes use of carbon fiber brushes to create an electrical charge to proactively and safely clean the air in residential and commercial buildings. When these ions are added into the air stream, they break down, passing problem-causing pollutants and particles into safe compounds like oxygen, carbon dioxide, nitrogen, and water vapor.
When ions encounter bacteria, viruses, or mold, they remove the hydrogen molecules, effectively killing the pathogens, as they can’t survive without hydrogen. The ions also bond to allergens and other particles, and continue bonding until they become big enough to be trapped by the air filter in the ventilation system.
This technology produces the same naturally occurring ions that lightning, ocean waves, waterfalls, and more produce. Nature uses energy to break apart molecules, purifying the air and refreshing the environment. iWave does this without creating harmful ozone.
Other standard air purification technologies need consistent maintenance with a bulb/cell replacement every 1-2 years. This makes ownership quite expensive. However, iWave’s air purifiers don’t need consistent maintenance, nor do they have replacement parts. The iWave purifier requires less than 60 watts of energy, has a solid-state design, and installs easily in just minutes. Additionally, iWave is designed to clean itself, allowing owners to benefit from its maintenance-free operation for years.
Bear in mind that Nu-Calgon provides a three-year limited warranty on iWave products. To get a valid warranty claim within three years, you’ll need to provide proof of purchase as well as proof of installation by a professionally licensed HVAC or electrical contractor.
